Ascorbplex^® 1000 Buffered is a high potency vitamin C supplement specially buffered with calcium, magnesium and potassium, which help to minimize stomach irritation associated with the acidity of many vitamin C preparations. Ascorbplex^® 1000 Buffered also contains bioflavonoids, which have been shown in increase the bioavailability of vitamin C in supplemental form compared to vitamin C taken alone.

Vitamin C is a water-soluble antioxidant that can react directly with superoxide and hydroxyl radicals to decrease potential damage to cells within the body.
